Rainbow Bagels

Method: Oven-Baking

Ingredients:

(Makes 5-6 Bagels)

1 cup greek yoghurt ⁣

1 ½ cups self raising flour ⁣

1 egg (wash on top) ⁣

Optional: seeds of your choice ⁣


Preparation:

  • Mix both greek yoghurt and flour into a bowl until it becomes crumbly.⁣

  • Knead the dough lightly until it forms a ball. ⁣

  • Cut the dough ball into portions by the number of colorings you have. (I did 3 - Red, Blue, Brown). Add the colorings then roll each portions into a ball. Flatten the ball into 0.5cm thickness. Do it the same for all the coloured balls and stack one on top of another.

  • Press the stack lightly and cut the stacked into strips of 2cm width.

  • Roll into a sausage shape (like your thumb) or twist (interlace) them and then press the two ends together to make a circle. ⁣

  • Brush with egg over the top and place onto a baking tray. ⁣

  • Bake in the oven at 180°C for 20 minutes.

  • Serve with hot and with any spread of your choice, and coffee too!
