Steamed Cabbage Rolls

Method: Steaming

Ingredients:
250g minced chicken
1 medium Napa cabbage
1 carrot
8 shitake mushrooms Sesame oil, salt & pepper for seasoning
Preparation:
In a medium saucepan or electric steamer boiler, bring water to a boil
Chop up carrot & mushrooms finely. Steam both for about 10 mins
In a large bowl, add minced chicken and season with sesame oil, salt and pepper. Mix in steamed carrot and mushrooms. Mix well and let the mixture sit
Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for about 30 seconds to soften them for rolling. Be careful not to break or make holes in the cabbage leaves
Lay a soften cabbage on flat surface. Put 3 tablespoons of meat mixture about 1 inch from the bottom. Roll cabbage from the bottom. Fold in the 2 ends at the sides and let the cabbage roll sit on the folded ends to form a neat parcel
Arrange cabbage rolls in steamer and steam at high heat for about 10 minutes
Serve hot. I like it with soy sauce + small chilli!
